About London
It is not difficult to find a reason to visit the historic city of London.
London is well known as both a major business hub and a popular tourist destination. All the major airlines fly into one or more of the major London airports (Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted and Luton). London has a fantastic public transport system and all airports are accessible to central London in less than one hour. For visitors to London from elsewhere in the UK there are plenty of options using the train or by car.
There is much more to London then the imagery of the Beefeater at the Tower of London or red Double Decker Buses would suggest. A great way to take in the sights is to take the Thames Clipper from Waterloo to Greenwich. This takes in famous landmark sites such as Big Ben, The London Eye and the O2 during this pleasant journey along the Thames.
For shopping why not check out Oxford Street and Regent Street. Both provide all the UK and International names such as Top Shop, Debenhams, GAP and Abercrombie (but get there early to avoid the queues!)London has an array of fantastic restaurants located across the city.
Whether it be traditional British food or Nouveau cuisine you are sure to find it in London. After dark why not check out some of what the nightlife has to offer. All the top clubs are located in the west of the city known as the West End.
The pending arrival of the 2012 Olympics will showcase London as first class international destination.
