Navutu Stars Resort
North side of the island Turtle Island

Location. Tucked between the turquoise ocean and a rolling verdant hill, the Navutu Stars Resort offers oasis-like serenity on Yaqueta Island, Fiji. A short boat ride from snorkeling reefs, the resort is 50 kilometers from the island of Viti Levu and its Nadi International Airport.
Hotel Features. At the Navutu Stars Resort, tranquility is paramount, although the staff does provide optional daily activities. Guests can participate in sunset cruises, gourmet picnics and a Kava ceremony, or choose to lay low at the beach or at the full-service health spa. Each morning begins with a complimentary breakfast, while later in the day, diners can feast on lobster, tender steaks, fresh-caught fish and organic vegetables at the on-site restaurant. At the Sunset Bar, set on the hill, Italian-style aperitifs are a libation option.
Guestrooms. The Navutu Stars Resort features nine bures, or villas, with straw thatched roofs and white concrete facades. The design is a marriage of Fijian and Italian elements. Inside the rooms, Asian cushions and textiles lend colorful touches. Each villa is set on the ocean and patios with daybeds, deck chairs and hammocks grant guests the opportunity to further unwind in the privacy of their own villas.
Expert Tip. The Navutu Stars Resort opened in December 2005 and the on-site restaurant reflects the background of its Italian owners. Typical dishes include lobster linguine and beef carpaccio.
