Hotel Claris is a member of Design HotelsTM. Hotel Claris architecture treats history with abundant respect while still progressing along entirely new paths. Only the Belle Epoque facade still remains of the grand urban house originally built in 1892 as a Verduna Palace. On the ground floor, solid glass window walls allow passers-by a fascinating view of the lobby with its steel, copper, glass and concrete design. Along with its stunning architecture, the Claris also contains its own ancient art museum with one of the largest private collections of Egyptian artifacts in Spain. Over 400 sculptures and paintings are distributed throughout the entire hotel, predominantly within its 124 rooms and suites. Barcelona is one of the most beloved and creative cities in Spain a place where the evening begins when people elsewhere have already gone to sleep. A siesta is highly recommended for night owls and perhaps a no more fabulous location exists for that than poolside on the roof-top terrace of the Hotel Claris.
